Que es el SHWOPPING?

Echa un vistazo a estos vídeos que explica una iniciativa puesta en marcha por la marca británica Marks & Spencer.

Trabajan en asociación con Oxfam Internacional. Han habilitado recipientes en sus tiendas para la recogida de ropa usada. La ropa que tenemos en el armario sin usar, aunque no sea de su marca, la podemos llevar a una de las tiendas M&S.

 

¿qué van a hacer con la ropa?

 

   El vídeo ( disponible solo en inglés) nos explica que van a :

•      Re-vender
•      Reciclar
•      Donarla

 

Me gustan mucho los vídeos, pero yo ya regalo mi ropa no deseada.

Yo ya entrego ropa no deseada a  Cáritas, Salvation Army, or Humana .  Ellos dan esta ropa a familias necesitadas o la re-vende en sus propias tiendas.

Siempre es bueno tener otra opción dónde llevar ropa vieja. Lo que pasa es que no tengo claro porque iba que querer llevarla a Marks & Spencer en vez de darla  una de las organizaciones caritativas.

Take a look at these quick videos that explains this initiative launched by the British department store chain Marks & Spencers.


All clothing you do not use can be taken to a M&S store and can be put in a container, even if it is not  something you bought in one of their stores.  They are working in partnership with OXFAM international.

So what are they going to do with the clothes people bring?

  As the video states, all clothes will either be:

• Re-sold  
• Recycled
• Donated 

 

The videos are pretty cool, but I already give away my unwanted clothes to charity.

I already give my unwanted clothes away either to programs like Cáritas, Salvation Army, or Humana   that   donate the clothes to families in need or re-sell them in their stores.

It´s always good to have another option of where to take old clothes knowing that they will be given a good use.  What I´m not sure of is why I should prefer to take them to Marks & Spencer instead of one of the other charitable organizations.
